Talk Title: "Black Holes are Real and Living Among Us"

The Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science (ASRAS) will be holding its annual RocheStar Fest on July 25th to July 27th. This weekend-long event features astronomy, lectures, demonstrations, and camping at ASRAS’s Ionia, NY observing grounds.

The program includes speakers, demonstrations and talks, camping, and two nights under the stars. A picnic dinner will be held on Saturday. Door prizes will be awarded! Proceeds benefit ASRAS, a non-profit organization devoted to education and public outreach in the fields of astronomy and space sciences.

ASRAS is seeking donations to be used as door and event prizes. Please contact David Bishop if you can help. Please contact Carol Latta if you would like to give a presentation or demonstration.

Camping arrangements are available for tents, and modest campers. These are primitive camping sites, no electric or water hookups, or showers are available. For camping questions/trailer arrangements contact Bob McGovern or call 585-226-6216.
